The Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) and the SAP Training and Development Institute (SAP TDI) entered into a sponsorship agreement this week.

Under the terms of the agreement, SAP TDI becomes a sponsor of DSOA's Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Center (DTEC) and DSOA will provide space at DTEC for as many as three SAP innovation boot camps. The DSOA will also designate one of the DTEC meetings rooms as the SAP Room.

The DSOA regulates the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free-zone technology park.

“We are fully committed to supporting start-ups and entrepreneurs in the fields of technology and Islamic digital economy through our technology entrepreneurship center DTEC," DSOA deputy Chief Executive Officer Shahla Ahmed Abdul Razak said. "Our support is not only limited to offering financial support, consultancy, mentoring, workspace facilities or networking opportunities, but it also includes signing partnerships with reputed organizations such as SAP."

Marita Mitschein, managing director of the SAP Training and Development Institute at DTEC, agreed.

“In addition to enabling local talents, the development of entrepreneurs will help tackling the challenge of unemployment," she said. "This requires above all an environment where entrepreneurial spirit can flourish. With the rich platform provided for start-ups, we see DSOA as an ideal place to nurture innovative concepts. We have witnessed some great ideas stem to life through DSOA and we believe that our partnership will enable more founders to reach great heights."
