The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has issued a call for establishments in the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors to apply for the Intensive Electricity Consumption Tariff. The application period is open until June 30, 2025. SEC emphasized the need for establishments to review eligibility criteria to ensure compliance before submitting applications.

According to SEC, "based on the eligibility results for the Intensive Electricity Consumption Tariff," an additional charge of 2 halalas per kilowatt-hour (kWh) will be added to the electricity tariff for non-eligible establishments in these sectors. This new tariff will take effect from May 28, 2025. The company noted that tariffs for non-eligible establishments would be updated periodically on its official website.
