Oman Arab Bank (OAB) is migrating to new software to overhaul its entire customer experience from the ATM to mobile and online banking.
The bank is partnering with U.S.-based NCR Software to create a seamless user experience across all OAB’s customer contact points. It’s part of the new omni-channel methods being used in banks around the world that aim to make interactions with the banking brand consistent across all platforms.
On top of that, the new system will help the bank track customer tendencies and preferences to make services more targeted and individualized to each customer.
The information garnered by switching to NCR’s APTRA Activate software will help the bank align itself with customer needs in the future, launching new apps and strategies as needed. The first push for OAB will be switching over ATMs to the new system.
“ATMs remain a cornerstone of OAB’s transformation strategy, and with the adoption of NCR APTRA Activate software we pave the way for enhanced customer experience and the ability to offer a whole new range of transactions,” Amin Al Husseini, Oman Arab Bank CEO, said. “That is in line with our vision to be pioneers in introducing the latest electronic banking systems and services in the country.”
The new ATM software adopts a user interface that both increases functionality and security, making it a win-win for OAB and customers alike.
