Oman Air recently launched the Sindbad mobile app, designed to enhance the travel experience of its frequent fliers by making it a simpler and more seamless process.
Sindbad is Oman Air’s membership rewards program, and the new app adds to the existing Oman Air mobile app and is equipped with a number of features to ease the process of flying with the airline.
The app lets users check their Sindbad miles balance, claim any missing miles, keep track of their tier progress, see their upcoming flights with Oman Air and check accounts more directly from mobile phones.
Sindbad members can store and display their membership cards using the mobile app, which allows them to get their privileges and benefits at the airport simply by showing their phone.
Mohammed Al Shikely, Oman Air’s marketing GM, said the app ups the game for the airline’s mobile presence.
“Since becoming the first airline in the world to offer both mobile phone and Wi-Fi connectivity whilst in-flight, we have redesigned our website to offer more information and more customer friendly,” Al Shikely said. “We have made it available in both English and Arabic, and have added functionalities that include our manage booking feature.”
The app is available for free on devices supported by Apple and Android.
