Qatar Airways will be adding new flights to its route to Manila, introducing twice-a-day flights from Doha beginning Oct. 26.
The decision comes on the heels of an Air Service Agreement signed between Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines that is meant to strengthen ties between the two nations.
“The addition of flight frequencies on the Doha–Manila comes to further strengthen commercial and trade links between our two countries, and we are thrilled to be able to offer our Philippines-based passengers with more convenient and greater connectivity options when they choose to fly with Qatar Airways,” Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO, said.
Al Baker said the new flights will allow more passengers the chance to experience award-winning on-board hospitality while traveling between Qatar and the Philippines. The new flights will not only serve travelers going to Qatar, but also all those traveling on to other major destinations through the airline’s hub in Doha.
The airline is already operating eight flights per week to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The new flights will bring that number to 16.
The Doha – Manila route is serviced by a Boeing 777 aircraft with 24 business-class and 356 economy-class seats.
