Bahrain Polytechnic hosts engineering exhibition

Bahrain Polytehnic recently hosted an engineering project exhibition, which included student presentations on data gleaned from various studies conducted in tandem with industries in the nation.

Approximately 30 projects were highlighted for an audience of students, staff and industry representatives. The projects were developed over a semester as part of the students' curriculum.

"Our problem-based learning approach focuses on training our students to be work-ready, and this is done through practical learning rather than theory," Mohamed Al Aseeri, acting chief executive officer of Bahrain Polytechnic, said. “We feel that this would meet the goals of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and the government action plan 2015-2018.”

Also on the day of the exhibition, the school, in cooperation with CADCAMCIM, opened its SolidWorks Training Center at the campus. The center will allow engineering and design students to incorporate  a 3D technology software into their projects.

“The executive management feels that this center will improve the way students carry out their projects," Al Aseeri said. "The students will be trained to use the software, which will definitely benefit them during their career journey."
