Qatar Airways moves data systems to Ooredoo cloud

Qatar Airways is turning to Ooredoo, the Doha-based telecommunications provider, to host the airline’s data and backup data on cloud servers.

As part of the switch, the airline moved its systems and infrastructure to the Ooredoo Data Center, which is among the most advanced facilities of its kind in the region.

The move to Ooredoo’s cloud-hosting platform lets Qatar Airways take advantage of the latest generation of cloud backup and security solutions both quickly and cheaply. The system is also an advantage as it is flexible and scalable, allowing Qatar Airways to modify its data storage and security as the company grows.

That means the airline will be able to manage increasing volumes of data with confidence as Qatar Airways continues to pursue an ambitious global growth strategy.

The cloud-hosting platform was launched in partnership with Microsoft, and offers many features including advanced cyber security, customer relationship management and file-sharing applications.
