A memorandum of understanding was recently signed by the Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech) and the Qatar Leadership Academy (QLA), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF).

The Bedaya Center makes available to young, prospective entrepreneurs a wide array of services, training programs and educational activities aimed at the achievement of career goals and polishing of entrepreneurial skills.

Qatar Leadership Academy is focused on young men and their personal growth in academics, leadership, athletics and character. This is the academy's contribution to the Qatar National Vision 2030 initiative.

"This MoU marks a milestone in career guidance in Qatar as its purpose is to facilitate, guide and promote cooperation between Bedaya Center and QLA," Reem Al Suwaidi, general manager of the Bedaya Center, said. "It will raise awareness of the importance of career guidance and career development throughout Qatar."

The MoU provides for advisory sessions with those who use the Bedaya Center's services. Additionally, QLA students will be urged to participate in events and programs offered by the Bedaya Center. The center will also be included in the QLA's future events.

"We are delighted to sign this MoU with the Bedaya Center as the career guidance tools, workshops and workplace experience they offer our cadets will do much to enhance their career opportunities," Brigadier Gen. Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, director of Qatar Leadership Academy, said. "The targeted group will be the cadets, but the teachers and other members of staff will be part of the workshops that will be provided by the Bedaya Center."
