Emirates and Bangkok Airways announce codeshare partnership

Emirates Airlines recently reached a new codeshare agreement with Thailand-based Bangkok Airways, which will provide passengers on both carriers with new destinations in Europe, Australasia and Southeast Asia.

Emirates’ code will be added to 19 Bangkok Airways routes across a number of Southeast Asian cities, adding 14 new destinations to the Emirates' global network. The new routes will connect customers to such new tourist destinations as Koh Samui and Chiang Mai in Thailand, Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Yangon and Mandalay in Myanmar.

The new Bangkok Airline flights will seamlessly connect with Emirates flights from Dubai, as well as European gateways. They also will provide increased connectivity for passengers from Australia and New Zealand.

The Bangkok Airways codeshare routes will be available to passengers traveling to Bangkok Suvranabhumi, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

The routes include a choice of stopovers in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Phuket for Emirates passengers traveling to and from Koh Samui.

Bangkok Airways operates 31 routes to 24 Asian airports. Emirates customers traveling on Bangkok Airways will receive boarding passes on check-in at their first international departure point for connecting international services.
