Per a recent announcement, Mohamed Talaat has been named the new vice president for EMC Egypttoday, as a result of which he will be gaining responsibility for the Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt and Libya coverage areas; Talaat will be based out of Riyadh and will be responsible for the company's strategy to strengthen both the business environment and overall economic opportunities in each of these countries.
"I am both proud and honored to assume responsibility for EMC's rapidly growing business operations across this vast and dynamic region," Talaat said. "The last few years at EMC have given me the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the business and to bring customers the best value of the innovation that surrounds us today. This is a cause that remains close to my heart. I look forward to continuing on this exciting growth path in the months to come."
Previously, Talaat was a regional managing director for EMC across Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt and Libya. In that position he improved strategic customer, channel and industry relationships. Under Talaat leadership, EMC garnered a significant amount of awards, including the "Number One Company to Work for in Saudi Arabia," by the Great Place to Work (GPTW) Institute.
