Oman Air will receive its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in October, an aircraft that will be used on flights from Muscat to Saudi Arabia and Europe; the inaugural flight will be attended by a special guest list that includes government officials, private organizations members and media representatives -- and after the special flight, the aircraft is to enter its scheduled service on Oct. 25 for regular flights.
Oman Air will receive a second Dreamliner aircraft in November; another four are expected to be delivered by 2018.
“Oman Air’s first Dreamliner taking to the skies and landing in Salalah will mark a momentous occasion in the airline history of Oman," Oman Air Chief Operating Officer Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy. “Once this excellent new aircraft starts to operate on routes to Europe and Saudi Arabia, it will provide the perfect environment in which to enjoy Oman Air’s unique hospitality, award-winning service and newly designed, stylish interiors."
