The CEO of healthcare consultancy firm Synensis will deliver the keynote speech and two workshops on patient safety at the Seventh Annual Security Forces Hospital Quality and Safety Program to be held Oct. 19-22 in Riyadh .
Stephen Powell, of Synensis, will join an international panel to help improve quality and patient safety in Saudi Arabia’s Security Forces Hospital system. The Security Forces Hospital system is the only one to provide health services to Ministry of Interior personnel and their families in Saudi Arabia.
Powell’s keynote will be titled "Four Characteristics of High Reliability Organizations (HROs).” The keynote will provide participants insights into traits that all HROs exhibit, no matter what industry they operate in.
Powell is a highly respected international expert on patient safety issues and will follow up his keynote with two management workshops. One is titled "Excellence Versus Compliance - Fostering a Culture of Excellence," and the other is "Developing a Non-Punitive Response to Error - Using the Just Culture Approach."
"This is a considerable commitment from the Security Forces Hospital to create and hardwire a culture of safety in its hospitals," Powell said. "We are humbled that Synensis has been asked to be part of this transformation journey."
Synensis has supported more than five hundred hospitals around the world to measure, analyze and improve patient safety while reducing costs to the hospital.
