McDermott wins EPCI project for 4 offshore Qatar jackets

Qatar Petroleum recently awarded McDermott International Inc. a brownfield offshore project for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of four wellhead jackets east of capital Doha.

With two of the jackets on target for completion in December 2016 and the remaining two anticipated for July 2017, the four structures will total 3,495 tons. The company said the order revenue will be assigned to McDermott’s third quarter 2015 backlog.

“McDermott’s integrated EPCI capabilities are critical to these offshore projects,” McDermott’s VP/Middle East Tom Mackie told Gulf News Journal. “This award is another example of collaboration with our customers to meet their critical production and project requirements. The award is expected to be executed with McDermott’s internal resources and backed by our proven track record of designing, building and installing offshore and subsea solutions.”

Delivering projects in Qatar for more than 40 years, McDermott International’s teams in Dubai, United Arab Emiraes, will fabricate and install the projects with vessels from its global fleet following comprehensive design engineering and procurement.

McDermott delivers fixed and floating production facilities, pipelines and sub-sea systems from concept to commissioning for complex offshore and sub-sea oil and gas projects to help oil companies safely produce and transport hydrocarbons.
