The U.S. Army recently awarded Vectors Systems Corporation a nearly $47 million contract for operations and support services at its bases outside of Doha, Qatar.
Vectrus is an international government services company that provides infrastructure asset management and IT services for governmental customers. The company also specializes in logistics and supply chain management services for the U.S. government.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in Qatar will see Vectrus handling day-to-day base operations and support to the U.S. Army bases of Camp As-Sayliyah, Camp As-Sayliyah-South and Falcon 78.
The bases are used to organize and prep material used by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Founded in 2000, Camp As-Sayliyah is the U.S. Army’s largest pre-positioning base in the world. The Army uses the camp to coordinate logistics, including how to store and distribute petroleum and water to combat zones. The equipment stored at the facility is intended for issue to Army forces, but may be used to support joint forces if needed.
Vectrus is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company has more than 5,000 employees spanning 85 locations in 15 countries. Last year, Vectrus’ contracts generated sales of $1.2 billion.
The Vectrus contract is expected to be completed by September 2017.
