The Petrofac Academy, an institution dedicated to the professional development of Petrofac’s employees, graduated a record number of Omani graduates Oct. 5.
About 30 young men and women are set to begin careers this month with the company -- an increase of about 40 percent from 2014.
The milestone was recognized at an event attended by Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Petrofac assistant secretary general of the Deputy Prime Minister Office for Cabinet Affairs.
“Last year we had a great response from the universities and colleges with whom we work here in The Sultanate," Petrofac Country Manager Ray Richardson said. "Twenty-two students are now completing the first year of a tailored graduate training programme which we run through our Petrofac Academy. They are also excellent ambassadors which without doubt, complements the recruitment process. The tremendous take-up this year speaks for itself.“
Petrofac programs offer experience, training and development for newly-qualified graduates.
"They represent our future and I am very proud of every one of them," said Richardson.
Petrofac is an oilfield servicer to international oil and gas companies.
