Airside terminal and airport solutions provider Honeywell presented insights on global aviation and end-to-end airport technologies this week at the Emerging Airports Conference and Exhibtion (EACE) at the Regency Hotel in Al Bidaa, Kuwait.
The 5th annual conference saw Honeywell representatives presenting "Inspiring Better Smart Airports" to attending dignitaries and industry leaders.
New Jersey-based Honeywell has been developing initiatives to support infrastructure development in Kuwait and the wider Middle East through aviation and airport technology and expertise.
Recent International Air Transport Association (IATA) data showed that the demand for Middle East air travel continues to outgrow the global average; air travel among Middle East carriers has grown 13.7 percent from August 2014.
Honeywell focuses on smart airside and terminal operating solutions aimed at enhancing safety, security, efficiency and productivity.
"Honeywell is at the forefront of airport technology, and when combined with our 50-year long history in Kuwait, [it] means that we can bring best-in-class innovation and apply it to a local context," said Honeywell Kuwait General Manager George Bou Mitri.
