Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)
director general and chairman, received a Kuwaiti delegation headed by Abdulatif Al-Dikhail, chairman of Public Authority of Roads and Land Transport Kuwait, Oct. 20.
The meeting discussed boosting cooperation as well as RTA strategies, with Khaled Al Farhoud and Mohammed Al Hadaba, board members of the Kuwaiti Authority, also present.
"Visits of GCC delegations constitute a fantastic opportunity to exchange expertise and boost cooperation in various fields besides benefiting from the experiences between GCC countries," Al Tayer said. "The RTA offers its experience and resources at the disposal of sister and friendly countries."
Al Tayer also spoke about the launch of the RTA.
"From inception the RTA had been keen on improving mass transit means to make them the ideal choice of people's mobility in the Emirate," he said. "The RTA is capitalizing on modern technologies in operating the mass transport systems."
While Al-Dikhail lauded RTA's many infrastructure projects, including roads, metro and trams.
"We are pinning high hopes in boosting cooperation, sharing expertise, holding workshops as well as planning, constructing, and operating transportation means and the infrastructure of roads and public transport in such a way capable of driving the economic growth, attracting investments and augmenting the business activities," Al-Dikhail said.
