The Qatar Ministry of Transport recently launched its new service-based website, developed in partnership with IT solutions provider Gulf Business Machines (GBM).
The ministry, which was founded two years ago, contracted GBM to develop a forward-thinking website that would facilitate better communication between the community and ministry officials. The website was designed to offer public information, and to highlight the ministry’s role in organizing Qatar’s land, sea and air transportation.
The new website explains the various functions of and services offered by the Ministry of Transport. It also has an interactive map of Qatar that gives information on the Gulf nation’s transportation networks. Users can access the forms needed for different ministry licensing services as well as information about jobs at the ministry.
“The launch of the Ministry of Transport’s website fills me with great pride and also signals a new frontier in terms of mobility and government services in Qatar.” Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Qatar’s minister of Transport, said. “The mechanisms of government operations are changing globally with governments across the world finding ways to better serve residents. Our website will provide more speed and efficiency through smart, digitized services for individuals, organizations, and the government itself.”
