A recent meeting of the Commercial Dispute Settlement Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) delved into the group’s progress with its 2016 action plan.

The meeting was held in Bait Al Tijjar and headed by Sami Zainal. The committee also approved the idea of holding regular meetings with other groups and organizations to build partnerships.

As a result of the meeting, a subcommittee was formed to focus on how the group will nominate arbitrators and specialists of the chamber, as well as to form a strategy for how to handle and resolve cases that are brought before the committee.

The job of the chamber's Commercial Dispute Settlement Committee, as one of the key committees, is to act as a mediator when available in cases of commercial disputes between members of the chamber and other parties. The group provides settlement of the cases through arbitration and conciliation.
