The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is sponsoring the first lecture given by Islamic preacher Saleh Al Maghamsi.
The sponsorship is part of the chamber’s continued efforts to host different events of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) celebration. The lecture will take place as part of the 20th session of DIHQA at its auditorium the evening of June 7.
Dubai Chamber President and CEO Hamad Buamim said the chamber maintains its efforts to strengthen services and interactions within the community. Hosting the annual Dubai International Holy Quran Award event throughout the years is part of that strategy.
The event normally attracts attendees from several different nations as well as satellite viewers. The chamber recognizes the award as a way to develop Dubai’s reputation as a destination for Islam. The annual award is held under the support of Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and ruler of Dubai.
The chamber president stated that the chamber’s support of the award is an effort to highlight the importance of encouraging younger generations to study and commit the Holy Quran to memory, introducing principles of the Islamic religion as well as its culture -- with the final goal of bringing the youth closer to Allah.
