Hollysys Automation Technologies Ltd. (Hollysys) recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Concord Corporation Pte. Ltd. (Concord) has signed a $62.3 million agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) to provide services for the Doha Metro Phase 1 project.

Hollysys is a Chinese company that provides automation and control technologies and applications. Its subsidiary, Concord, will deliver engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning for part of the Doha project’s Power Distribution System Package (PDS).

Doha’s metro project will be completed in two phases, the first of which will be complete for operation by 2019 -- with 37 stations and 75 kilometers. Concord will undertake work for the Gold, Blue and Green lines that are part of the first phase.

"We are glad Concord won this contract -- thanks to its proven track records and extensive working business relationship with MHI, which secures the opportunity in participating the construction of the Qatar Metro project,” a Hollysys representative said. “Winning this contract has set an important milestone for the company's future expansion plan in the Middle East market. Hollysys will continue to accumulate brand name globally, expand overseas market and create value for shareholders"
