The Dubai Future Foundation is launching a program in Dubai to promote the deployment of new technologies that address 21st century challenges.
Known as the Dubai Future Accelerators, the program will provide innovative companies around the globe access to leading partners to test futuristic prototypes on a citywide scale.
The program being run by the Dubai Future Foundation is an initiative of the Dubai government led by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Companies of all sizes are encourage to submit proposals for challenges in seven areas: transportation, public safety, infrastructure, health care, education, the digital transformation of sectors such as hospitality, and renewable energy. Technologies that will be tested include robotics, 3-D printing, biomimicry, genomics and augmented reality. Chosen applicants will be given a dedicated creative workplace with access to a prototyping lab and world-class mentors.
"We invite all those across the world who want to create a better future to come to Dubai and help us create a better future," Dubai Future Foundation Vice Chairman Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi said.
The 12-week Dubai Future Accelerators program will start Sept. 12.
