United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) Vice Chancellor
Mohamed Albaili highlighted the university’s focus of developing a strong role in scientific
research at regional and international levels as he welcomed new faculty to the school.
Albaili expressed gratitude to those who will work to
create a new generation of intelligent, enlightened students at the recent gathering attended by university administrators and professors.
Albaili assured the new professors and staff that
UAEU will support them in any way possible to achieve their goals.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the United
Arab Emirates University,” Albaili said. “Since establishing the university in
1976, the leadership of the UAE has worked to enhance education through
scientific research in a variety of disciplines in order to achieve sustainable
development, innovation and also to provide the latest state-of-the-art
facilities in terms of infrastructure and to create an academic and scientific
environment.”
Albaili noted that faculty and researchers
must collaborate with one another as well as with the UAEU community in order
to make a valued contribution to the science field. In closing, Albaili wished each new staff and faculty
member great success in the new school year.
