John Hallenbeck has been named general manager for Motiongate Dubai, the Middle East's largest Hollywood-inspired theme park.
Motiongate Dubai
is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the area's largest integrated theme park.
Hallenbeck has more than 25 years of experience in theme park operations, design and implementation and has worked with some of the largest theme parks in the world.
He joined the company in 2015 as vice president of revenue operations. In his new role, Hallenbeck will be in charge of successfully opening and growing the park.
Hallenbeck has worked with all Universal Studios theme parks around the world. Before joining
Motiongate Dubai, he worked with Resorts World Sentosa, most recently as vice president of attractions, overseeing operations at Universal Studios Singapore and MarineLife Park.
He also worked as director of attractions operations at Universal Orlando, overseeing Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
He has also served as the chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Asian Advisory Education Committee and was a board member for the IAPPA Education Board and the IAPPA Asian Advisory Board.
