Edinburgh Business School has new executive dean

Heather McGregor recently became executive dean at Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School, which has campuses in Dubai, Edinburgh and Malaysia and offers one of the world's most flexible MBA programs.
"This is a significant appointment and reflects the ambitious vision and spirit of the business school founded by Professor (Keith) Lumsden more than 20 years ago," Edinburgh Business School Chair Shonaig Macpherson said. "He leaves a lasting legacy and we wish him all the very best wishes for the future while we look forward to Professor McGregor building on his achievements to-date and taking the school into a new era of even greater success."
McGregor has experience in human resources and career development and is an advocate of a diverse workforce that includes women and ethnic minorities. She also a financial journalist, author and a visiting professor and lecturer.
“Edinburgh Business School is part of a thriving, world-class university and I am incredibly excited at being given the opportunity to build on the success the school has already achieved, working with colleagues within the school and across Heriot-Watt, as well as with our 23 learning partners, to give students the very best experience and value, both during their studies and throughout their careers," McGregor said.
McGregor is currently in her new role on a part-time basis but will transition to working full time next year.
