The Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bahrain welcomes the recent talks between Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation officials who met privately to discuss the oil industry during the recent Group of 20 (G20) meeting in China.
Bahrain is pleased with the outcome of the
consultations and commits itself to the agreement reached that will act as a
strategic step in creating a balance in oil markets.
Bahrain also notes the significance in the
partnership and the ongoing efforts of the mutually beneficial collaboration
between two main oil producers. The consultations also aim to create stabilization
and security for the oil sector in addition to developing supplemental efforts
in numerous countries across the globe.
Bahrain points out that while collaboration
between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation is a positive
move for the oil markets, it is also key to begin international talks in an
effort to obtain a promising future for other countries. Involving regional and
international game players in the consultations will result in stronger and
more sustainable solutions for challenges facing the oil industry.
