The Dubai
Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently announced the key objectives and
initiatives of its 2017-2021 strategy.
The event,
which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was led by Hamad Buamim, Dubai Chamber president and CEO, and was attended by members of the local media.
Buamim
spoke at the event about the Chamber’s new strategy to increase competitiveness and growth in the private sector. The strategy
consists of four pillars – promoting Dubai as a global hub, fostering a favorable business environment, encouraging business development in the
region and becoming the best chamber of commerce on Earth. He also spoke about
the Chamber’s role as the business community's partner and bridge
between with the government.
“Dubai
Chamber has studied the needs of the private sector, and developed an
integrated strategy that aligns such requirements with the objectives of the
Dubai Plan 2021,” said Buamim. “The strategy encompasses the
vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, to accelerate the Emirates’s economic
growth, boost the competitiveness of the private sector, and attract leading
global companies to specialized sectors within Dubai.”
