Free University of Brussels issued the following announcement on July 22.
ULB Culture is launching a call to create a temporary museum of confinement which will be presented during the Citizen Agora "Worlds in transition" scheduled from October 2020 within our University.
The Covid-19 pandemic was a major episode at the start of the 21st century: this unprecedented situation brought our relationship with living things back to the forefront and redistributed priorities by bringing about new forms of solidarity.
In order to keep a memory of life during the confinement period, ULB Culture is launching a call for projects in order to collect the creations and works produced during the confinement and the reflections, testimonies and / or questions that it may have aroused. .
This harvest will make it possible to create a temporary museum of containment-ULB which will be presented during the Citizen Agora "Worlds in transition" scheduled from October 2020 within the University.
They can be creations, compositions, stories, dance, photography, painting, drawing, or writing (of 4000 characters maximum), crafts, or video ... or objects of your daily life, unexpected or diverted, become symbols of links or, conversely, isolation. We accept all forms of creation.
Send your proposals in digital format, along with a short comment and your contact details, by August 30 to culture@ulb.be .
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
A selection committee made up of members of the scientific committee of the Citizen Agora "Mondes en transition" and of the ULB Cultural Commission will be responsible for selecting the objects, works and texts that will appear in the temporary Museum.
The selection of works and objects will be communicated to participants by September 15th.
Participants authorize ULB to use photos of their works to advertise the event via ULB's own networks.
The exhibition will take place in October 2020. The dates will be decided by the organizing committee according to the evolution of the health situation.
