Free University of Brussels issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
The preparatory courses, in collaboration with the EPFC, are aimed at students in the last year of secondary education, wishing to prepare for the 2021 session of the entrance examination in medicine and dentistry. The 2020 school year will take place on Saturday, October 17

In order to allow everyone to undertake courses in medicine and dentistry with the required prerequisites and to promote success, the ULB and its Faculty of Medicine have been offering refresher courses since 2012 in collaboration with the EPFC ( This academic year is no exception and the preparatory courses for the studies of medicine and dentistry resume on Saturdays from October 2020 to March 2021 and will welcome up to 350 students maximum.
The courses given will allow students to review the prerequisite material in strong mathematics and strong sciences by putting the(maximum 50 people), thus promoting interactions and exchanges between the students and the teacher, and therefore the better understanding of the subject. These preparatory courses include three complementary modules in mathematics (20 periods), in physics (20 periods), in chemistry (30 periods) and, an additional but optional module in biology (20 periods).
The course and content of the courses aim to enable registrants:
to fill any gaps due to the number of hours of science courses taken in upper secondary education,
to develop the ability to formulate an argument as part of a scientific approach,
to solve new problems by exploiting the skills acquired previously,
to discover abstraction ,
to become familiar with the methodology of higher education.
Classes will take place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from October to March on the La Plaine campus on the following dates:
