Bahrain-based teleport services provider Batelco has extended an agreement originally signed in 2011 with global satellite company ABS. The agreement allows ABS access to a variety of telecom services through Batelco's approximately 35,900-square-yard operational area. UAE creates coalition to monitor health of coastal waters

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Environment and Water has created a new initiative to keep the UAE's coastal environment in good health. The initiative involves the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology, the municipalities of Dubai, Fujairah and Umm Al-Quwain, the municipality and Planning Department in Ajman and the Environment Protection and Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah. Oman Insurance improves health packages for small, medium businesses

Oman Insurance Company is expanding and improving its health care insurance packages for small and medium enterprises. The new suite includes three plans, one each for Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and Northern Emirates. Each of the three plans has three different levels of coverage. Qatar Investment Authority to be stakeholder in $8.6 billion Manhattan West project

A joint venture was formed between Brookfield Property Partners and Qatar Investment Authority for a development project in New York City. The estimated value of the completed project is $8.6 billion, with Brookfield selling a 44 percent interest in the development to QIA.
